"LES CASCADES" de ROCHAS, Songe d'Iris - WHERE THE IRIS, MEETS THE CHOCOLATE

   After Les Cascades de ROCHAS "Eclat d’Agrumes" 2012 (rich citrus splash), ROCHAS brings to our attention "Songe d'Iris" (calm watery serene scent) 2013.

   "Songe d'Iris" is one interesting creation - it's not perfume, it's veil, it's zephyr...

   Just imagine yourself sitting in garden with fountains, next to Iris flowers garden, alongside beautiful lake, covered with pure white blossoming Lotus, surrounded by tender Fig trees. There is slightly blowing tender breeze, from time to time. On the table in front of you has chocolate and crystal plate full of Fresh Figs... And all this Romantic picture is accompanied by the sharp Bergamot note, coming with the breeze...

   Once it settles down on your skin, this fragrance doesn't transform. It's type of mono aroma - fragrance, composed by several notes, which create one compact, one mono composition. There is no perfume notes pyramid.

    The notes are:

   Bergamot, Iris, Lotus, Chocolate, Fig 

 The composition contains EVERNIA PRUNASTRI (OAKMOSS) EXTRACT.

   IMPRESSIONS

   - FROM THE BOTTLE

   When you sniff the fragrance from the bottle (already bottle in use), you feel very intense sharp note - Bergamot, combined with powerful Iris presence. The Bergamot is so sharp, that if you sniff it 3 times, you will feel it already deep in your lungs, even burning in your stomach. It's so intense! (Test carefully each perfume you have!) All this sharp-sour note, in union with the light purple color of the bottle, gives transparent reminiscence of liquid burning alcohol and rubbing alcohol the same time. Somewhere in the background, blends the chocolate shade.

   - FROM THE BLOTTER

   Sprayed on the blotter, 2 min. later, the fragrance gives imagination of calm watery serene scent, where the Bergamot note is particularly tamed by the chocolate note. Imagine - if the Iris is the face of this fragrance, the Chocolate represents its back. This two notes are appearing as dominating union, softened by the Lotus and Fig touch in very mastery way.

   - FROM THE SKIN

   As we all know, that every skin has it's own characteristics (according to the individual body chemistry), and "opens" every fragrance in different way. 

   I can say, that the description of the fragrance "From the blotter" stays basically the same, but varies according to your own skin reaction and body chemistry together with the fragrance.

   The fragrance comes into transparent glass bottle, EDT, 50 ml, light purple color.

    CONCLUSIONS

    This is one beautiful very feminine watery fragrance - light, as veil. Fragrance with clear characteristics.

   Only Ladies smell this way - luxury, pure, light, women, who care for themselves. This scent can be perfect individual signature!

    You can wear day time, in office, outside. It stays close to your skin, but from time to time it shines with your motions.
