"ADAMAS" - THE UNIQUE PARFUME OF QUEEN ELIZABETH II

ADAMAS - Her Majesty's unique perfume.

The perfume has been created specially for her Diamond anniversary and it'sgift from The Royal Society of Chemistry.

The scent is inspired by diamonds and the 1950's and the Perfumers Stephene Bengana and Ange Stavrevka made the aroma reflective of the length of time the queen has held the throne (by using fragrances that were characteristically worn at the time of her coronation).

The perfume has a light sweet scent formed from peach and pear notes combined with Lily of the valley, rose,  and Tuberose oils.

The fragrance contains notes of cedar, Canadian, Indian Jasmine, Jamaican Pimento Leaf and delicate aroma of cinnamon from Sri Lanka. Scent possesses an exotic touch of allspice and Australian sandalwood. So, fragrances of all countries of the former British Empire, are mixed in the most unique perfume since the time of Cleopatra.

The perfume will not be made available for the public to buy, because it's a highly personal creation to reflect the queen's personality.

"The RSC, of which the Queen is Patron, wished to mark her Majesty's jubilee in a special fashion and with her agreement, we set about creating something that would echo her own interests while having a unique aroma," - the President of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Professor Lesley Yellowlees, revealed.

He also said, that the Perfume has been named Adamas, the Greek word for diamond - αδαμάντας.

The Fragrance has been given to the Queen in bespoke crystal bottle, specially designed by Yorkshire glass makers David Saunders and Andrew Wallace. This bottle was made from recycled red, gold and pink glass fashioned from Darlington crystal.

    What a wonderful royal present!!!...
